Mental Skills in Cricket

'What does he of cricket know, if cricket's all he knows' CLR James

Whilst cricket skill is vital it is not enough on its own. To succeed in the world of cricket you need to apply many of the skills you would need to succeed in any other discipline. You need to plan your success, target your performance, measure your effectiveness and evaluate your game.

The programme shares 'best practice' from sportsmen who have reached the top and want to stay there for as long as they possibly can. These teachings will improve your cricket and your enjoyment of the game; they will also be disciplines to follow throughout the whole of your life.

Cricketers will be given assessment sheets, performance goals etc. which will serve as a useful reminder of the disciplines taught once the cricketer has returned home.
