Dr Sandy Gordon, a Senior Lecturer at the School of Human Movement and Exercise Science at UWA teaches Sport and Exercise Psychology and Sport Sociology. Current research interests include coach education, mental skills training interventions, psychology of sport injury and career transitions. He has teaching experience in physical education, coaching experience in cricket, golf, sailing, soccer, squash and volleyball and has presented on coach education programs in many part of the world. He is a Registered Sport Psychologist (WA) and is past National Chair of the College of Sport Psychologists within the Australian Psychologists.
He currently consults privately with several individuals locally and with the Australian Professional Golfers Association, Western Australian Cricket Association, Australian Cricket Board now Cricket Australia and Board of Cricket Control in India.
Dr Gordon has played a crucial role in developing the A.C.E. Cricket Coaching Performance Profiling Model. He will be actively involved with the programme during the 10 weeks both presenting group workshops and on a one to one basis when the cricketers are asked to reflect on their "Optimal Emotion Performance Zone". |
