 For those gap year students that are passionate about cricket there will be no better way to spend your gap year than in West Australia at the ACE Academy. You will be playing cricket at the weekends for an Australian club side whilst perfecting your game throughout the week with cricket coaching, fitness training and sports psychology from the worlds best. Be prepared to work hard and be prepared for a lot of laughs and fun!
Some gap year students move on from the Academy to see more of Australia, others have already purchased a world ticket and included Perth as one of the drop off destinations? Six months cricket followed by six months travel, meeting new mates along the way, sounds an ideal combination!

Christmas Close
There is a 3 week rest and relax period over the Christmas holiday, beginning Sunday 16 December 2012 and ending Sunday 6 January 2012 for a period 3 weeks.
You will be embarking upon a once in a lifetime adventure. Perth is reputed to be one of the finest cities in the world; it is the place where many of the English pro cricketers come to spend their off season and don't be surprised if you find yourself working out in the gym alongside Australia's test team heroes! Come and enjoy the long sandy beaches, beautiful climate and some of the finest sports facilities in the world. You may well want to try your hand at surfing, body boarding, windsurfing, rowing, jet skiing etc within the warm water of the Indian Ocean or the clear blue waters of the Swan River; it is all here for the taking plus much, much more as well.
There is a 3 weeks rest and relax period over the Christmas holiday period. Cricketers that have been at the Academy since the season began will be physically and mentally tired and well ready for a 3 week break. We encourage you to make the most of this free time. Academy cricketers usually take off together on low budget tours and explore more of WA or Australia. Some cricketers are joined by their families.
As a member of theACE Academy you will stay, and be part of the university of Western Australia, enabling you to enjoy all that university life has to offer. The location is second to none and we guarantee you will not beat the accommodation and food for quality and price! For the rugby enthusiast you will be able to watch the Western Force live competing in the Super 14's competition.

Staying on campus at UWA is a great bonus for those boys returning home at the end of their cricket adventure to University.
